Ant Nest Foundation Chamber v1 For Queen Ant And Brood (ants and test tube sold separately) Have you ever been interested in raising ants, to watch a colony grow, observe all the fascinating things they do. Cleaning, feeding, hunting, and everything else in between. Then look no further!

This foundation chamber is a completely original design and fabricated here in Australia, by us and comes assembled - we currently have Iridomyrmex, Camponotus and Myrmecia queens settling in with ours.

Functions.

• Queens Foundation Chamber The beginning point for all ant colonies
• In the wild the Queen would select a site to burrow and create a chamber
• Within this chamber she will start laying eggs, once the first ants emerge they slowly extend the nest
• They like it nice and dark, relatively well temperature controlled, and a bit of humidity In the beginning sugary fluids AND fresh water is all most ant species need (some need proteins too)
• With this current version, the test tube remains attached to the foundation chamber for the supply of nutrients, the test tube is replaced once you connect a nest, or out-world, extension

Specifications.

• All acrylic design 80mm x 65mm x 18mm external dimensions 12mm internal height
• Floor has been roughened to assist your ants with moving around (I even place some sand in mine)
• Roofing is screwed in with M3 machine thread screws
• Front tube is 16mm OD and 12mm ID x 2cm long.

Further Details: Roofing comprises a clear panel for direct visualisation of the chamber It comes supplied with a red transparent panel already screwed in place over the transparent panel We are already well advanced with design and development of nest extensions and out-worlds for our range of products. We use what we sell, for our own ant colonies (which are still only new).
